Preface

A message from the publisher

In the spring of 2000, the NMLRA withdrew support for Muzzle Blasts Online and the electronic publication ceased adding content.

One of the founder's and current owner has chosen, at his personal expense, to maintain the content for the benefit of the blackpowder community.

Please enjoy.

Editor's Welcome

Welcome to the October/November issue of Muzzle Blasts Online. In this issue Dwight Morgan, a teacher from the Washington state area offers ideas for getting youngsters involved in our sport at the school level; Kurt Williams puts the spotlight on Sharron Smith in his Shooting with the Best series; and Susan Jennys reviews a new book on Wet-Scrape Brain Tanning. For those of you with an interest in history, check out Fred Stutzenberger's Natchez Trace article. I hope you enjoy reading this issue--Terri Trowbridge

Our Cover this month is a photo of the Walter Cline Range during the September 1998 shoot. Notice the banner above the entrance--yes, the NMLRA has been around now for 65 years!
